Exciting News!!! Dulux have announced the colour of the year 2021 as BRAVE GROUND. Brave Ground was selected as an "elemental" hue that reflects "the strength we can draw from nature, our growing desire to align more with the planet and looking towards the future" – particularly in a world still dealing with the challenges of the coronaviruscrisis. “We continue to live through uncertain times. In 2021, the warm and grounding tones of Brave Ground will allow us to find certainty in the strength from the very ground beneath our feet, emboldening us to go forward and begin to live again and giving us the flex to adapt to the ever-changing circumstances we face.” Creative Director, Dulux UK, Marianne Shillingford. Here at OMNI we challenged our Interior Designers to create an interior moodboard to reflect the natural feel & colour of Brave Ground & heres the exciting board they've produced! Ferm Living Here at Omni Interior Design we love the start of the year, especially for the reveal of the new collections, particularly Ferm Living. They have revealed their new collection for SS20 as 'Space to Feel Comfortably You' This collection is full of earthy tones and organic shapes, meet sculptural lines. The solid, robust forms are merged with soft, natural fittings whilst focusing on honest materials that are no more, and no less, than what they appear to be. “In the ever-changing and fast-paced world of today, it has never been more important to check in with yourself, allowing yourself to breathe and be present. Creating a space that allows you to reconnect with yourself and your loved ones is, therefore, at the core of everything we do.” says Ferm Living founder and Creative Director Trine Andersen. From the reactions received, it would appear everyone is as thrilled as we are at OMNI; and cannot wait to incorporate their favourite pieces of furniture, accessories, or lighting into their own interiors. Transforming a room, & our climate, with a Log burner Omni Interior Design have been lucky enough to visit ACR Heat Products & have a personal tour of the showroom, laboratory & warehouse. We were so Impressed and excited by their products that we got ourselves blogging! Wood burning stoves are great interior design choices, as they’re brimming with character and flare, and add a touch of elegance and luxury to any space. No matter where one of these stoves will be placed, be it the living room, the bedroom, or the kitchen, it can immediately transform the room and elevate its feel to another level. Whether it's a contemporary décor or a more traditional and rustic one, wood burning stoves can complement any space – and blend in seamlessly with it. This means you can use these fires anywhere, from cosy little cottages to modern apartments. With common knowledge that our climate is warming up, a modern day wood burning stoves can help solve the problem, so we decided to highlight the benefits towards climate change and not just the aesthetics. Wood-burning stoves offer a low-carbon alternative to heating your home using fossil fuels. Wood is a renewable energy source. Solar power from the sun, wind power and wood energy are all renewable energy sources, meaning that they can be used forever without depleting the earth. Trees absorb carbon dioxide as they grow, which is returned to the atmosphere when their wood is burned. The benefits gained by burning wood require the usage of wood from sustainable sources to prevent deforestation. By purchasing wood from a sustainable source certified by the forest stewardship council you can be confident that you are using your stove responsibly. Local stockists that are FSC approved can be found on their website www.fsc-info.org. Wood bought through sustainable forestry schemes assists with funding future forest management. Woodfuel also created businesses and employment in rural areas where jobs can often be scarce. By purchasing wood from sustainable sources you can do your bit to support the environment around you. ACR Heat Products have used their 30 years worth of stove knowledge to design their own range of multifuel, gas & electric stoves. They even have their own Laboratory to put each stove through testing to meet the British standards ®gulations. Every multifuel model is smoke exempt allowing you to burn wood in smoke controlled areas, not only that, ACR also have one of the largest ranges of EcoDesign Ready stoves. If you haven't already, head over to ACR Heat Products and find your nearest stockist or enquire through OMNI. Omni Interior Design Team

With the new year here & January nearly through, you may be wondering what the biggest tile trends will be for 2020. With such a huge choice of tile designs on the market, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with indecision on what will give your room design lasting impact. We decided, once again, to challenge our Interior Designers at OMNI to let you know what they think the top tile trends will be for this year 2020. www.omniinteriordesign.co.uk #1 Wood for Flooring & Walls A variety of tiles seen on our mood-board, from @Porcelanosa, show just how beautiful tiles are now, uniquely made to look like real wood & give that more natural look for your Interior! Why not try using these beautiful tiles in room you wouldn't expect, a feature wall of a bedroom or a panel wall in a kitchen diner. #2 MOSIAC Do you know the 2020 mosaic trends revolutionise interior design and architecture. Every year, great designers and architects create styles, shapes and colour combinations that set the referents in design. METALLIC?! Yes, metallic, is our soon to be shining star of trendy bathroom renovations. Metallic is shiny and reflective, giving your bathroom interior a gorgeous yet edgy makeover. This modern look isn’t quite there yet, but we expect to see it popping up more and more over the course of the year. #3 CHEVRON & HERRINGBONE Why design your bathroom to look the same as everyone else’s when you could choose this classy and unique pattern? Chevron and Herringbone patterns are a great way to add an accent pattern to your kitchen or bathroom. They are also a great addition to spruce up that downstairs WC! If you haven’t already, expect to see these in 2020 as a definitive trend this year! www.omniinteriordesign.co.uk

You can expect to see a lot of blue this year. Pantone announced that its 2020 Colour of the Year is Classic Blue 19-4052, a shade reminiscent of the sky at dusk. "It's a colour that anticipates what's going to happen next," said Laurie Pressman, the vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, which selects the Colour of the Year. "What's the future going to bring as we move into the evening hours?" For over 20 years, Pantone’s Colour of the Year has influenced product development and purchasing decisions in multiple industries, including fashion, home furnishings, and industrial design, as well as product packaging and graphic design. We've already seen the colour on the catwalk in 2020s collections. British fashion designer Stella McCartney included rich, blue looks in her Spring/Summer 2020 show at Paris Fashion Week in September 2019. The Pantone Colour of the Year selection process requires thoughtful consideration and trend analysis. To arrive at the selection each year, Pantone’s experts at the Pantone Colour Institute comb the world looking for new influences. This can include the entertainment industry and films in production, traveling art collections and new artists, fashion, all areas of design, popular travel destinations, as well as new lifestyles, playstyles, and socio-economic conditions. Influences may also stem from new technologies, materials, textures, and effects that impact colour relevant social media platforms and even upcoming sporting events that capture worldwide attention. How do you incorporate Pantone's Color of the Year for 2020 into your Interior Space, I hear you ask? Well at Omni Interior Design Ltd we have challenged our Interior Designers to create a mood-board to show you relevant ways to integrate this colour in to your space and we love what they've chosen! Incorporating the 2020 colour by way of large furniture pieces such as a statement-making sofa. Try using a supple velvet for a more luxurious feel. Omni uses dark blue as an accent paint colour to feature walls, panelling & beautifully crafted cupboards. This can also used as the main colour for a space — it just depends on the type or size of the room. Artwork can be a stunning statement piece, if used in the right way. Adding one feature piece in Classic Blue to a fully neutral room adds to the statement in your home. Wallpaper murals are a big thing and easily obtainable to fit your size of wall perfectly. Adding a mural with other tones of colour to a feature bed wall introduces a calming space, yet full of character & uniqueness. Lighting is an important aspect of interior design as it enhances the aesthetic appeal and creates the mood and ambiance of a living space. Integrate this colour in to your lighting, such as a trendy table lamp or a single pendant. Finally if you are brave enough, and love this Classic Blue as much as we do, add bespoke architectural metal work, like this beautifully design staircase to your home! You won't regret it!
